CURRENT WORK

“As the Wind: The Enchanted Life of Eden Ahbez" is the first-ever documentary film about the enigmatic composer of the song "Nature Boy" and forefather of the hippie movement. Co-directors Brian Chidester and John Winer embarked on this project in 2017, traveling around the country in search of Ahbez's lost story, interviewing family members, friends, and former collaborators, as well as researching countless archives for original source materials. The film is currently in the post-production stage.

"Art Ephemera TV" is a documentary serial about unusual contemporary artists and their immersive creative worlds. It was conceived by Brian Chidester in 2014 and produced by "The Deli" magazine in association with the Art Kartel. Chidester brought the series under the Full Moon Films umbrella in 2017 and has produced (with John Winer) a total of seven episodes. The series is currently available for viewing on the Full Moon YouTube channel and will launch on Tubi in Fall 2025.

"Voices from the Wilderness" is a multimedia project about lost creative voices and lost ecologies. These stories will be presented in the form of a documentary film series, a podcast, and a series of books. All facets of the creative brand are currently in development.
